Exciting news! We are a bit ahead of schedule and Early Decision 1 notifications will go out tomorrow, December 1st at 4 PM CT! Updates will be posted to students’ Green Wave Portal, and physical letters are on the way as well. We are excited to welcome the first members of the Class of 2027 to the Tulane family!
One small change that I wanted to make people aware of- some ED applicants will be deferred and released from their ED Agreement. This has been rare in recent years, so I didn’t want it to be a total surprise. These students will be read again in the spring with the EA and RD applicants, and can also be considered for our Spring Scholar cohort. There will be a form on the Green Wave Portal where a deferred ED student can indicate an interest in our Spring Scholar program.
In past years, we would admit the vast majority of our Spring Scholars at this time. This year, we are admitting a smaller group for now, and will reassess when we see the pool of deferred ED and EA students in the spring. Deferred ED students cannot switch to ED 2.
Early Action applicants- breathe! We are still reading your applications and you won’t get a decision for a bit. January 15th is the latest date that will be, but hopefully we finish early like we did for the ED pool. We will let you know! So please enjoy this time with your family and friends, and don’t check your portal every day!
